Printer & Multifunction Device Hardware Minimum Requirements

Printers must meet the minimum requirements to be connected to the WCMC network:

  • Memory (RAM): 16MB
  • Drivers: PCL5, PCL5 emulation, or PostScript (PS)
  • Paper Feed: Bottom feed/paper tray
  • Must be laser printers with a built-in network card

Recommended Printers

The following printer models (laserjets) are recommended for all EpicCare printing. Printers currently being used for printing prescriptions will continue to work but must be dedicated to print either only plain paper OR only the new prescriptions.

If you currently have a printer not on this list that you would like to user for dedicated (single tray) prescription printing, please send an e-mail request to ITS Service Desk with:

  • The ITS tag number of the printer in question
  • The exact model number of the printer (usually on the printer itself)
  • The proper contact person's information (name, e-mail, phone number)
