Did You Know

• Earth Day was founded in 1970.  U.S. Senatory Gaylord Nelwo of Wisconsin called for a nationwide demonstration in the spring of 1970 aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues.  It worked.  The first national Earth Day was April 22, 1970.

• Employees Help NYC event April 20-21

• WCMC employees have volunteered to help with the NYC Green Festival April 20th-21st.  The volunteer team is set, but you can still attend this great New York City event!

  
  

• Earth Hour 2013 March 23rd 8:30PM

• Weill Cornell Medical College Employees have participated every year since 2008.  Join the world on March 23, 2013 from 8:30pm to 9:30pm and switch off power to show support for energy conservation. Read more about it.
