Unpower Hour Thursday 2PM

Billions of people around the world made Earth Hour 2012 a huge success this weekend.  Join us on Thursday April 5 from 2pm-3pm when we cut non-essential power campus wide.Employees, faculty, students and staff will cut power where not in direct use to reduce the medical school's consumption of power.  Sign up with a Green Leader or click here to sign up on line.  Participants earn a chance to win a green gift bag full of earth friendly prizes.

During the hour everyone will switch off unnecessary ambient lighting, equipment in standby mode that does not need to be used during the hour and many other small chanages that reduce power usage during the hour.  When all 4,000 of us make small changes it not only reduces the medical college expenses, it helps save the planet!  Learn more about what to do for the hour here.
