Testicular Cancer
Testicular cancer takes place when there are abnormal, cancerous cells growing in the testicles. As brought about by the American Cancer Society, it is a common cancer among men. Roughly 8,000 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer, and almost 400 men die of this disease annually. Testicular cancer is likely to occur in men between the ages of 20 and 39. Most occur in white men.
The long-term projection for those with testicular cancer depends on the size and involvement of the tumor as well as the degree of metastasis (spreading) at the time of diagnosis. There may be an increased possibility in some individuals for recurrence of testicular cancer. Testicular cancer happens to be one of the most curable forms of cancer.
