Educational Technology Group Services

Our mission is to collaborate with faculty, students and course staff members to integrate digital and online courseware materials into the medical school curriculum and the design and development of web based teaching materials. Among the services which we provide are:
  • Provide Instructional Design services to assist the medical curriculum in leveraging modern pedagogical solutions and use of technological tools.

  • Manage WCMC's centralized Learning Management System, called Canvas, for all student learning and employee training.

  • Manage WCMC's centralized Student Information System, called Jenzabar/LEARN, which manages the administrative needs for Admissions, Registrar & Advising departments for all programs of the college.

  • Manage the Weill Education Center database of over 10,000 medical images, which are available on-line 24 hours a day to medical students.

  • Manage the searchable Curriculum Mapping database for the MD program.

  • Administer and develop the web pages for the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Education Center and the Office of Academic Affairs.

  • Ensure the smooth production and maintenance of presentation material and equipment for the Distance Learning initiatives. Assist in production of "flipped lecture" video content for faculty.

  • Employ the use of secure exam software for use where possible.

  • Develop solutions for Audience Response polling and surveys.

  • Acquire, scan and retouch medical images for educational use.

  • Train and support faculty and students in various educational projects.

  • Maintain device configurations and educational applications for all student, faculty and course staff using lab computers and iPad mobile devices.

  • Maintain workstation configurations for all lab computers.

  • Develop innovative solutions to help faculty and students become more efficient in their educational experience.
