Weill Medical College of Cornell University (WCMC) and The Brooklyn Hospital Center Department of Family Medicine established the Weill
Cornell Program in Family Medicine in March 2001. The program was developed to introduce Cornell medical students to the specialty of
Family Practice. The program has subsequently flourished and now students have greater interaction with family physicians during
rotations, didactic sessions, and as their faculty advisors. In addition, a quarterly grand rounds lecture series was established to
bring leaders in the field of family medicine to the Weill Cornell campus to promote the academic merits of family practice. Over the
past years, we have had great success with our Grand Rounds Lecture Series. We have been privileged to attract esteemed lecturers from
various family medicine programs in New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.
