MSHS PA Program Curriculum

The MSHS PA Program curriculum is currently twenty-six months in duration. The first ten (10) months is referred to as the preclinical phase and is lecture intensive with clinical exposure and experiences. The remaining sixteen (16) months is clinically intensive, and is referred to as the clinical phase. During this phase, students continue to learn while at clinical environments ("rotations") and return to the PA Program classroom at intervals for periodic assessment of their performance. Additional instruction and preparation for clinical practice is provided during the clinical phase as well.

Although the MSHS PA Program utilizes the resources of Weill Cornell, our educational goals are separate and distinct from those of the medical college and its students, therefore, the MSHS PA Program curriculum does not include instruction along with medical or graduate students. Instructors are familiar with the needs of Physician Assistant education and tailor curriculum objectives accordingly.
