Medicine Clerkship

The Curriculum

The Medicine clerkship is a 12 week course taken in the third year. Students are assigned to in-patient medical services and actively care for patients, under the supervision of faculty and house staff. All students spend:
  • 4 weeks General Medicine at NYP or MSKCC
  • 4 weeks General Medicine at an Affiliate Hospital
    • Brooklyn
    • Lincoln
    • Methodist Hospital (Houston)
    • Queens
  • 4 weeks Subspecialty
    • Medical Intensive Care Unit at NYP
    • Medical Intensive Care at MSKCC
    • Coronary Care Unit
    • Cardiology
    • Renal
