Several weeks after the completion of a course, student course evaluations (numerical ratings and a synopsis of their narrative comments) for the basic science and MPS I and II courses are posted on the OCED website.
Faculty can access these data at https://edcenter.med.cornell.edu/auth/OCED/stu_eval_surveys.html using their Weill Cornell Medical College “CWID” and password.
In addition, those faculty who participated in a course (e.g., PBL facilitator, small group leader, lab instructor) will receive an email from the Evaluation Coordinator when their personal evaluations can be viewed online. The email will also explain how to access that data. Given the vast number of lectures that occur during a course, students are not asked to evaluate specific lecturers in E*Value (the on-line software program that manages the anonymous evaluation data).
Evaluations of specific faculty are also shared with Course Directors. In addition, upon request, Departmental Chairs can access information about their faculty. This information may be particularly helpful for promotional decisions.
