For each of the required core class sessions (e.g., lectures, PBL sessions, labs, small groups, core didactic sessions in the clerkships), faculty are required to provide the title and a brief description of the session, its learning objectives, major topics, and key words. This will enable course directors and faculty to determine where and how various topics are covered throughout the curriculum and help course leadership identify curricular gaps and redundancies. It will also help students identify those lectures and other sessions that focus on a specific topic in which they are interested.
Data are collected and updated by the Curriculum and Clerkship Coordinators and edited for clarity and consistency by OCED. In the near future (CurrMap is currently under construction), faculty and students will be able search by course, topic, key word, faculty member, and learning objective.
