The medical college curriculum was completely
revised in 1996. Though widely successful and emulated, it continues
to be evaluated annually in light of the educational
objectives adopted by the Executive and General Faculty Councils
in 2002.

Founded in 1898 as Cornell University Medical
College, the school's name was changed in 1998 to the Joan and Sanford
I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. The medical school
campus embraces one of the most advanced centers in the world for
the biomedical sciences, including Rockefeller University, Memorial
Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Center,
and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
