Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Welcome New Faculty

The Department of Neurological Surgery officially welcomed two new faculty members during a reception at Griffis Faculty Club on Sept. 23. Both new faculty are already familiar faces at Weill Cornell and bring outstanding expertise to the department that is expanding clinical coverage in pediatric neurosurgery and endovascular treatment of vascular diseases of the brain. Dr. Athos D. Patsalides had trained in the department, and Dr. Jeffrey P. Greenfield formerly served as a chief resident. Dr. Matthew E. Fink, chairman for clinical services in the Department of Neurology and Neuroscience, also welcomed two new faculty members to his department: Dr. Timothy Vartanian (multiple sclerosis) and Dr. Elyana Rubens (epilepsy).
