Title: New Therapy to Treat Anxiety Due to a Fall

Study Description: The purpose of this study is to test Exposure Therapy designed for older adults who are dealing with anxiety after being injured by a fall. The goals of the study are
1.) to see whether it is practical to study this therapy,
2.) to see whether people are satisfied with the therapy, and
3.) to evaluate its effects (good and bad) on anxiety and well being.
The therapy involved meetings with an anxiety specialist who will visit your home. Your will discuss the fall accident, learn and practice coping skills, and plan and do activities.

Involvement: Therapy

Age: 65+ years

Eligibility: Diagnosis of anxiety resulting from a fall

Commitment: 10 visits at your home over 18 weeks

Compensation: Up to $60
