Title: Genetics of Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders

Study Description: The Weill Cornell Autism Research Program (WCARP) endeavors to improve the understanding behind the genetics and brain chemistry of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). This research is being done because it is possible that a change in genetic material is one of the causes of these disorders.

Involvement: Blood draw, Neuropsychological assessments, Physical exam, Questionnaires

Age: 12 months or older

Eligibility: Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), or Intellectual Disability

Commitment: 1 visit in New York, NY or Hackensack, NJ.

Compensation: $25 Toys R Us Gift Card, $35 parking voucher, and free admission to an Autism Symposium
