Clinical and Translational Science Center

The NCATS-funded Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) aims to integrate and leverage the rich array of resources of its partner institutions and New York City’s diverse communities in order to move research findings from bench to bedside, and then into effective health care practice.

In the CTSC, researchers will find opportunities for training and education, seed funding, and a wealth of free or significantly discounted resources and services to support investigator-initiated and government- or foundation-sponsored research.

The CTSC offers both pre- and post-doctoral training awards to ensure protected time for young investigators, as well as seminar series and a didactic training program leading to either an Advanced Certificate or Master of Science degree in Clinical and Translational Research.

The CTSC endeavors to improve the health status of the community by creating a framework for community collaboration in research as well as a dialog with New York City’s culturally and racially diverse groups on health issues of all kinds.

The research subject participant is an essential member of the research team. Through its participation in ResearchMatch.org, the CTSC assists potential participants by matching them with appropriate research studies. The CTSC also provides dedicated research participant advocates who can assist participants with questions or issues arising during the research process.

Staff can now find centralized forms, policies and procedures documents, links to CTSC systems, and news and events announcements on the staff-specific home page.

Stories From the CTSC

A single powerful story can sometimes tell us more than mountains of monitoring and tracking data.
