Fourth Year Student Send-off
As graduating "MDs" transition from student to resident, the WCMC Alumni Association continues to find ways to support its newest members. Programs for Fourth Year Students include:
Money Management Seminar
One of the ways the WCMC Alumni Association assists graduating students is by sponsoring a free Money Management Seminar featuring a professional financial consultant. The consultant addresses issues such as how to manage tuition debt and how to start a savings plan, and answers a wide range of questions on financial planning.
Complimentary Alumni Association Membership
As a welcome to the WCMC Alumni Association, recent graduates receive complimentary membership. The graduates also receive a packet of helpful information on keeping in touch with Weill Cornell and planning for their 5th Year Reunion.
Graduating Class Legacy Gift Campaign
At Convocation, the graduating class presents a mock check to the Dean of the Medical College in the amount raised for their Class Scholarship Fund to benefit future medical students. As a thank you, the WCMC Alumni Association matches the total amount raised by the Fourth Year class. After graduation, the Class Scholarship Fund becomes a meaningful way to stay connected to the Medical College. Special gifts to Class Scholarship Funds on the occasion of Reunion celebrations enable these important funds to grow significantly over time.
